Common questions

Where is my data stored?

On your watch. Sippy has no accounts and no cloud; nothing you enter leaves your device. See the privacy policy for the full picture.

Why didn't I get a reminder?

Check that notifications are allowed for Sippy in the Watch app on your iPhone, and review your active hours in Sippy's Settings. Reminders pause for the day once you reach your goal, and stop an hour before your sleep time. Focus modes can also delay delivery.

How do I change my daily goal or serving size?

Open Sippy, swipe to the stats page, tap the gear, and adjust Daily Goal, Active Hours, Serving Size or Units. Sippy uses fluid ounces on watches set to a US region and millilitres everywhere else; you can switch at any time. Custom servings go from 50 ml to 1 L, or 1 to 32 oz.

What does Sippy cost?

Nothing. Sippy is free with every feature included: no subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads. If you paid for an earlier version, thank you; that is what let us build this one.

Can I log with Siri?

Yes. Say "Hey Siri, log a drink in Sippy" on your watch, or "log a bottle in Sippy" for a specific serving. Apple Watch Ultra owners can assign the Sippy shortcut to the Action button, and on watchOS 11 a Double Tap logs your usual serving while the water screen is open.

Does Sippy sync with Apple Health?

Yes, if you want it to. Turn on Apple Health in Sippy's settings and each drink is added to Health as water, which makes it visible in the Health app on your iPhone. Sippy only writes; it never reads your Health data.

A note on reminders

Sippy is a reminder tool, not a medical device, and hydration needs vary from person to person. Notifications are delivered by watchOS and can be affected by device settings. Sippy is provided under Apple's standard app license agreement.
